Read about this on someone else's blog:

Capcom apparently has a pretty noisy guy on their team, Inafune Keiji. He makes comments along the lines of "the Japanese gaming industry is dead" and that this year's TGS completely sucked. (His blog, btw, has one of those banners that I just gawk at. Go ahead and look at it, but be aware that it might slow your browser down if you've got a lot of tabs open. Firefox nearly crashed on me.) He's of the belief that there needs to be more 'Westernization' in order for the Japanese gaming industry to stay afloat. (This might be why DmC came about, but that's not where I'm going.) He makes a looooooong blog post complaining about the reactions from the internet.

And then, Nomura makes a post with brilliant timing.

Yes, Tetsuya Nomura of Square-Enix. He thanks everyone for their hard work at TGS and adds a quick comment along the lines of "game developers aren't supposed to talk a lot, just make good games." People lol over the timing. I thought it was amusing.

Next is Hideo Kojima.

Kojima left a comment on his Twitter about what it means when a game is 「A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME」. Basically, he's the one who came up with the term. To him it means that he designed, planned, wrote, and directed the game; in other words, it's literally his responsibility. He didn't just produce it.

Kojima mentions that "it seems like others have been imitating me lately." Some people on a blog can't help but feel like it's referring to a certain opening credit in Dead Rising 2. (The image is on the linked post.) Is he really taking a shot at Inafune? Who knows. It might be good timing again, but it's still fun to point out.

...yes, all right, I'll admit it. I think it'd be totally awesome if they all started fighting or something. Nomura and Kojima could team up against Inafune and troll his blog. Kojima leaves nothing but nonsense comments and argues with circular logic that doesn't make sense but sounds like it does and now you have a headache. Nomura uses macros. OR it's the other way around, since Kojima seems to like pictures. His Twitter is kind of adorable, wth.

ANYWAY. I should probably not be making posts at 4:30 in the morning. I ponder about stupid things.

Bam -- just like that! -- a Dreamwidth account.

There's something about it that I liked, I guess. I actually got a six month account, so hopefully it'll be worth it. I'm looking forward to using this journal as the main blog for when I go to Korea in August, so expect some pictures around then!

To anyone who happened to stumble upon this post: Welcome and have a link to some Dreamwidth Layouts! There is also a tutorial on installing Mixit themes on Dreamwidth right here.
